I communicate through visuals.

I’m Christina (MengYuan / 梦圆) Li, a documentary storyteller and visual journalist working with video, graphics, animation, photo, and sometimes data, to bring visual stories to life.

Most recently, I was a Digital Producer at Asia Society Magazine and a Producer at Bloomberg News on the Asia-Pacific team. My work has also been featured in VICE, TIME Magazine, and HuffPost, and I’ve collaborated with art institutions such as Leslie-Lohman Museum, Noguchi Museum, and Asia Society Museum.

Outside of my work, you can find me wandering the streets with my film cameras, embarassing myself in a hip hop dance class, or biking wherever the (sometimes unpaved) path leads me.

I’m based in New York City, with roots in Kansas and Beijing, China.
